Reimagining school readiness kits

Sure, school just started for many students... but it's never too early to start preparing for preschool & kindergarten!
We have Reimagining School Readiness Kits available for checkout! Each kit includes books, a game or other educational manipulative, & an activity sheet to help parents engage their children with that kit's theme in a growth mindset.
We have 10 RSR kits covering such topics as counting, measuring, patterns, emotions, & more! You can check out 1 kit per library account for a 3-week period with renewals. These kits must be returned back to the front desk at the Pinson Public Library. For more information about the concepts of school readiness & growth mindset, check out the flyers and bookmarks available next to our new kits or reach out to our Youth Services Specialist, Riana!
These kits, along with training provided to staff, were graciously provided by the Alabama Public Library Service , the Institute of Museum and Library Services, the Pacific Library Partnership, the Bay Area Discovery Museum, & the California State Library. We look forward to hearing your feedback on these kits & concepts!
